Juan Soto Taborda is a filmmaker, editor, and specialist in audiovisual heritage preservation. His work operates at the intersection of film restoration, editing, and documentary production. He coordinates the project “Visibilitzem el cinema català (1940–2014)” for the Filmoteca de Catalunya and ESCAC under the mentorship of Ferran Alberich, and has restored materials such as the 16mm body of work by Miñuca and Fernando Villaverde. Trained at L'Immagine Ritrovata and through FIAF programs, he works in both analog and digital preservation. He has edited films like Pornmelancholia and El Father Plays Himself, and directed works such as Parábola del Retorno and Revelaciones, exploring identity, memory, and personal archives.
